Over the next few pages you’ll learn
how to block programs and under-
stand the rating terms for certain broad-
casts. First, set a personal access code.

Press MENU to see the menu.

Press
8or 9
until SMART-
LOCK is highlighted.
3Press :again. The on-screen
display will read “ACCESS
CODE ----.”
4Use the Number buttons to
enter 0711. “XXXX” appears
on the screen as you press the
Number buttons.
When 0711 is entered correctly,
proceed to step 6.
If you enter a wrong digit,
“INCORRECTCODE” will
appear on the screen. You will be
asked to “PLEASEENTER
AGAIN.” Enter 0711 again.
5Press 9until CHANGE CODE
is highlighted.
6Press :to change your personal
Access Code.
7Enter a new four-digit code
using the Number buttons.
The screen will ask you to confirm
the code you just entered. Enter
the same new code again.
“XXXX” will appear when you
enter your new code.
After confirming the new
code, the on-screen menu will
return to the BLOCK option.

Or, press STATUS/EXIT to
remove the menu.
NOTE: If you ever forget your code,
the 0,7,1,1 code is the factory default
and can be used to enter and create a
new one.
