Congure SmartGuide Categories

This section provides information to congure SmartGuide Categories
icons. Guests can access these icons by pressing the CHANNEL
GUIDE button on the guest remote control to display the SmartGuide
Categories screen. Refer to the previous chapter for information to
assign TV channels to categories (see ‘Select a ring’ on page 4).
1 Press M on the setup r emote control to display the s etup menu.
2 Press to select CONFI GURATION > SMARTFEATURES
> SMARTGUIDE CATEGORIES .
3 Press to select one of the fo llowing to congure the
settings:
CHANNEL GUI DE KEY: Sets the default scr een that will be
shown when you pres s the CHANNEL GUIDE b utton on the
remote control. S elect between SM ARTGUIDE categories or
CHANNEL LIS T screen.
HIGH DEFINITI ON: Enables or disable s the high denition icon
in the Smart Guide Categories scr een.
SPORTS: Enables o r disables the spor ts icon in the SmartG uide
Categories scr een.
NEWS: Enables o r disables the news icon in th e SmartGuide
Categories scr een.
KIDS: Enables or d isables the kids icon in th e SmartGuide
Categories scr een.
MOVIES: Enables o r disables the movies icon in t he SmartGuide
Categories scr een.
NETWORK: Ena bles or disables the net work icon in the
SmartGu ide Categories scree n.
ADULT: Enables or disables the a dult icon in the Smar tGuide
Categories scr een.
LIFESTYLE : Enables or disabl es the lifestyle icon in t he
SmartGu ide Categories scree n.
OTHERS: Enables or d isables the others ico n in the SmartGuid e

Congure SmartPower settings

Philips continuously focuses on lowering the environmental impact
of its consumer products by adopting energy efcient ways of power
management.
This section describes how to select a setting for maximum power
savings.
1 Press M on the setup r emote control to display the s etup menu.
2 Press to select CONFIGU RATION > SMARTFEATURES.
3 Press to select one of the fo llowing to congure the
settings:
SMARTPOWER: Set s a power saving mode. Selec t one of the
following :
OFF: Rich and dy namic settings, ide al for daylight use.
Disables power sav ings.
LOW: A natural pictur e setting. Achieves low powe r savings.
MEDIUM: Id eal settings for watchin g movies. Achieves
medium power saving s.
HIGH: Applies l ow-energy sett ings. Achieves highes t
possible power savi ngs.
AUTOSENSE: Red uces the TV’s power consum ption according
to the room’s ambient l ight. Select YES to en able the TV’s built-
in ambient light se nsor.
LOW POWER STANDBY: Uses minimum power whe n the TV
is in standby mod e.
Note
If LOW POWER STANDBY is set to YES ,
the TV can only b e switched on wit h a remote control. Pl ease ensure the
remote control i s always available . The control but tons at the side of the
TV will not be abl e to switch on the TV.
If LOW POWER STANDBY is set to YES , the TV will be con gured to
the optimal ene rgy saving mode wh enever the TV is sw itched to stand by
mode. As a resu lt, the TV will ta ke a little longer to s witch on again. If yo u
need a fast sw itch on time, selec t NO.
