Safety
Read and understand all instructions before you use this DVD player. If damage is caused by failure to
follow the instructions, the warranty does not apply.
Risk of electric shock or fire!
Never expose the produc t and accessories to rai n or water. Never place liquid conta iners, such
as vases, near the prod uct. If liquids ar e spilt on or into the produ ct, disconnect it f rom the power
outlet immediately. Contact Philips Consumer Care to have the product checked before use.
Never place the product an d accessories near naked flam es or other heat sources, i ncluding
direct sunlight.
Never insert objec ts into the ventilation slot s or other openings on the pr oduct.
Where the mains plug or an a ppliance coupler is used as t he disconnect device, t he disconnect
device shall remain readily operable.
Disconnect the produc t from the power outlet befo re lightning storms .
When you disconnect the powe r cord, always pull the plug, n ever the cable.
Risk of short circuit or fire!
Before you connect the pro duct to the power outlet , ensure that the power volt age matches
the value printed on the ba ck of the product. Never co nnect the product to t he power outlet if
the voltage is differe nt.
Never expose the remote cont rol or batteries to r ain, water or excessive he at.
Avoid force coming onto power plugs . Loose power plugs can cause arc ing or fire.

Do not touch the disc optical le ns inside the disc compar tment.

If the product is tra nsported in temper atures below 5��C, unpack t he product and wait u ntil its
temperature matche s room temperature be fore connecting it to the p ower outlet.
Risk of overheating!
Never install this prod uct in a confined space. Alw ays leave a space of at least four inch es
around the product for ven tilation. Make sure that cu rtains or other obje cts never cover the
ventilation slots on the product.
Risk of contamination!
Remove the battery if i t is exhausted or if the re mote control is not to be used for an e xtended
period of time.
Batteries contai n chemical substance s, they should be disposed of p roperly.
Risk of swallowing batteries!
The product/rem ote control may contain a coin t ype battery, which ca n be swallowed. Keep
the battery out of r each of children at all times !
