Read and understand all instructions before you use this DVD player. If damage is caused by failure to
follow the instructions, the warranty does not apply.
Risk of electric shock or fire!
Never expose the pro duct and accessorie s to rain or water. Never place liqu id containers, suc h
as vases, near the product. If liquids are spilt on or into the product, disconnect it from the power
outlet immediately. Contact Philips Consumer Care to have the product checked before use.
Never place the produ ct and accessories near n aked flames or other heat sour ces, including
direct sunlight.
Never insert ob jects into the ventilat ion slots or other opening s on the product.
Where the mains pl ug or an appliance coupler is us ed as the disconnect dev ice, the disconnect
device shall remain readily operable.
Disconnect the pr oduct from the power out let before lightning sto rms.
When you disconnec t the power cord, always pull th e plug, never the cable.
Risk of short circuit or fire!
Before you connect t he product to the power ou tlet, ensure that the powe r voltage matches
the value printe d on the back of the product . Never connect the produ ct to the power outlet if
the voltage is dif ferent.
Never expose the re mote control or batter ies to rain, water or exces sive heat.
Avoid force coming onto power pl ugs. Loose power plugs can ca use arcing or fire.

Visible and invisi ble laser radiation w hen open. Avoid exposure t o beam.
Do not touch the disc opt ical lens inside the disc com partment.
Never place the produ ct or any objects on power cor ds or on other electr ical equipment.
If the product is t ransported in te mperatures below 5°C , unpack the product and w ait until its
temperature m atches room temperat ure before connecting i t to the power outlet.
Risk of overheating!
Never install th is product in a confined spa ce. Always leave a space of at leas t four inches
around the produc t for ventilation. Make su re that curtains or ot her objects never cover the
ventilation slots on the product.
Risk of contamination!
Remove the batter y if it is exhausted or if t he remote control is not to be us ed for an extended
period of time.
Batteries co ntain chemical subs tances, they should be dis posed of properly.
Risk of swallowing batteries!
The product /remote control may contai n a coin type batter y, which can be swallowed. Keep
the batter y out of reach of children at all t imes!
