7 Troubleshooting
Warning
Risk of electric shock. Never re move the casin g of the player.
To keep the warranty valid, never try to repair the system yourself.
If you encounter problems when using the player, check the following points
before requesting service. If the problem remains unsolved, register your
player and get support at www.philips.com/welcome.
No power
Ensure that both plugs of t he mains cord are prop erly connected .
Ensure that there is po wer at the AC outlet.
Check if the built-in bat tery is drai ned.
No sound
Ensure that the AV cable is con nected correc tly.
Distorted picture
Clean the disc. With a cl ean, soft, lint-f ree cloth, wipe the d isc
outwards from the ce nter.
Make sure that the vide o output format of th e disc is compatible wi th
the TV.
Change the video outp ut format to match you r TV or program.
The LCD is manufactur ed using high precisi on technology. You may,
however, see tiny black points a nd/or bright point s(red, blue, gree n)
that continuously app ear on the LCD. This is a norm al result of the
manufacturing pr ocess and does not indi cate a malfuncti on.
Cannot play disc
Ensure the disc label is u pwards.
Clean the disc. With a cl ean, soft, lint-f ree cloth, wipe the d isc
outwards from the ce nter.
Check if the disc is defec tive by trying anot her disc.
