Connect and charge
MIX has a built-in battery that can be charged
through the USB port of a computer.

Connect MIX to a computer

1 Slide out the integrat ed USB plug of
MIX.
2 Connect the USB plug to a sp are USB
port on your computer.
3 Turn on your computer.
MIX charges. »
Note
For rst-time use, al low MIX to charge for 3 •
hours.
The charging animat ion stops and the •
icon is displayed when the ch arging process is
completed.
When you connect the MIX t o the PC for the
rst time, a pop-u p window appears:
1 Select Philips Device Man ager.
2 Follow the on-screen ins tructions to
complete the installat ion of the software .
Note
The installation r equires you to agre e to the •
license terms.
If the pop-up window is not di splayed
automatically:
1 Select My Computer ( Windows XP /
Windows 2000) / Compute r (Windows
Vista / Windows 7).
2 Right click on the Philips GoG ear MIX
icon.
3 Select Install Phili ps Device Manager.
4 Follow the on-screen ins tructions to
complete the installat ion of the software .

Battery level indication

The display indicates the a pproximate levels of
the battery st atus as follows:
100% 75% 50% 25% 0%
A ashing battery screen indicates »
that the battery is low. The player
saves all settings and switches off
within 60 seconds.
Note
Rechargeable bat teries have a limited n umber •
of charge cycles. Bat tery life and num ber of
charge cycles vary by u se and settings .

Tip
You can conserve batter y power and increas e •
the play time of MIX if you ensu re that the
shortest timer s etting is selec ted. (To check/
adjust the timer set tings, go to > [Display
Settings] > [Screen off timer].)
