Probeer het! De eenvoudigste manier om te weten te komen hoe uw afstandsbediening werkt, is door een toets in te drukken en te kijken wat er gebeurt - u hoeft niet bang te zijn, er kan niets stukgaan! De meeste toetsen werken net als op uw oude afstandsbediening. Maar het heeft natuurlijk geen zin een bepaalde toets in te drukken als de bijbehorende functie niet op uw tv of videorecorder zit.

AAN DE SLAG

U heeft twee 1,5 V-batterijen nodig , type R03, UM4 of AAA. Plaats de batterijen als volgt.

Denkt u eraan de batterijen minstens eenmaal per jaar te vervangen. Haal de batterijen niet langer dan één uur uit anders moet u de afstandsbediening opnieuw programmeren.

Deze afstandsbediening kunt u zo gebruiken voor elke Philips-tv, - videorecorder of -satellietontvanger. Voor apparaten van een ander merk moet u de afstandsbediening eerst programmeren. Dit duurt slechts enkele seconden, dankzij de Simple System Setup-functie van Philips!

Controleer voor u begint, of u wel het het apparaat gekozen heeft waar- voor u de afstandsbediening wilt programmeren (TV, VCR, of SAT). De groene indicator geeft aan welk apparaat gekozen is. Om een ander

apparaat te kiezen drukt u eerst eenmaal op om te activeren en vervolgens drukt u opnieuw om het volgende apparaat te kiezen. Let er ook op dat het apparaat ingeschakeld is. En ga recht voor het apparaat zitten.

Weet u van welk merk uw apparaat is, kijk dan in de codelijst achterin deze gebruiksaanwijzing en zoek de eerste 3-cijferige code voor uw apparaat. 1 Houd 1 en 3 tegelijk ingedrukt tot de groene indicator begint te

branden. (Laat de toetsen los; de groene indicator moet blijven branden)

2Toets de 3-cijferige code in met de cijfertoetsen. De groene indicator knippert tweemaal.

En klaar! Druk nu op enkele toetsen op uw afstandsbediening om te controleren op het apparaat juist reageert. Zoniet, probeer dan opnieuw met de volgende code in de lijst. Mocht het per hoge uitzondering zo zijn dat geen enkele code werkt, volg dan de aanwijzingen in het volgende hoofdstuk.

Tip: Schrijf de code op in het batterijvak en achterin deze gebruiksaanwijzing voor het geval u ooit de afstandsbediening opnieuw moet programmeren.

Als u niet weet van welk merk uw apparaat is of als u het merk niet kunt terugvinden in de codelijst dan kunt u toch redelijk snel de afstandsbediening programmeren. De gepatenteerde zoekfunctie van Philips test alle codes, de ene na de andere, en vindt de code die u nodig heeft! Het zoeken duurt gemiddeld ongeveer 90 seconden. (De maximale zoektijd is 5 minuten voor een tv, 2 minuten voor een videorecorder en 4 minuten voor een satellietontvanger.)

Let erop dat de tv of videorecorder enzovoort ingeschakeld is. Voor een videorecorder moet u een band starten. U merkt dat de juiste code gevonden is als het apparaat uitgeschakeld wordt of als de videorecorder stopt met afspelen.
