2Put the soother, the soother thermometer and the flexible-tip thermometer in the storage box.

3Put the storage box in a safe, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

Replacing the battery

Swallowing a button battery is extremely dangerous.

Batteries may explode if exposed to high temperatures or fire.

Never attempt to recharge the battery.

The thermometers have a long-life battery that should last about 2 to 3 years. If the display shows a battery symbol, the battery is low.

Replace the battery of the flexible-tip thermometer as described below.

Note:The battery of the soother thermometer cannot be replaced. If the battery is empty, discard the soother thermometer.

1Remove the battery compartment cover (Fig. 4).

2Use an insulated probe to remove the battery (e.g. a toothpick).

3Insert a new battery (LR41) with the + pole facing upwards (Fig. 5).

4Reattach the battery compartment cover (Fig. 6).

5Dispose of the empty battery in the proper way (see chapter ‘Environment).

Environment

-Non-rechargeable batteries contain substances that may pollute the environment. Do not throw away non-rechargeable batteries with the normal household waste, but dispose of them at an official collection point for batteries. Always remove the non-rechargeable batteries before you discard and hand in the thermometers at an official collection point.

-Do not throw away the thermometers with the normal household waste at the end of their life, but hand them in at an official collection
