Manual TV channel search
Incertain cases the ’Automatic TV channel search’ may not be
ableto find all of the TV channels (e.g. coded TV channels). In
thatcase, use this manual method to set the channels.
DWhenyou search for TV channels manually, you can
choosebetween the indication for ’channel’ or
’frequency’.Please read the next paragraph
’Channelnumber or frequency display’.
aSwitchon the TV set. If required, select the programme
numberfor the video recorder.
bPressthe MENU buttonon the remote control. The main
menuwill appear.
cSelectthe line ’MANUAL SEARCH’ with the Pqor
Prbuttonand confirm with the OK button.

dHoldthe Pqbutton until you have found the right TV
channel.A changing channel number or frequency will
appearon the screen.
DIfyou know the frequency or channel number of the
desiredTV channel, you can enter the information in
linewith the number buttons 0-9 on the remote
control.
DToenter a special/hyperband channel, you must
entera ’9’ before the first channel digit. The
indicationchanges from ’CH’ to ’CA’. For example,
forspecial channel ’S 30’, enter ’9 30’.
eConfirmwith the OK button.
fWiththe Pqor Prbutton or with the number buttons
0-9 ,select the programme number you want to give to
thisTV channel, for instance, ’P01’.
gConfirmwith the OK button.
Ifyou want to allocate more TV channels, repeat steps
dthroughg.
hToend, press the TV/STANDBYmbutton.
Channel number or frequency display
Youcan switch between the display for ’channel number’ or
’frequency’for manual channel search.
aSwitchon the TV set. If required, select the programme
numberfor the video recorder.
bPressthe MENU buttonon the remote control. The main
menuwill appear.
cSelectthe line ’CHANNEL/FREQUENCY’ with the
Pror Pqbuttonand confirm with the OK button.
dWiththe Pqbutton, select ’CHANNEL’or
’FREQUENCY’and confirm with the OK button.
eToend, press the TV/STANDBYmbutton.
Satellite receiver
Youcan receive channels from the satellite receiver via the
scartsocket EXT.2 AV 2 .
Todo this, select the channel number ’E2’ by pressing the
buttons Pqor Pr.You will have to select the channels to
bereceived by the satellite receiver on the receiveritself.
Special installation functions
Youcan select one of the following installation functions in
orderto adapt the video recorder to your own specific
requirements.
Automatic TV channel search (Autoinstall)
Thevideo recorder will search for all TV channels. It stores TV
channelsfound in the following sequence: BBC 1, BBC 2, ITV,
CH4, CH 5, SKY, others.
DIfyou want to start the automatic TV channel search
again,then follow the instructions below.
aSwitchon the TV set. If required, select the programme
numberfor the video recorder.
bPressthe MENU buttonon the remote control. The main
menuwill appear.
cSelectthe line ’AUTOINSTALL’ with the Pror
Pqbutton.
