Selecting the recording speed (SP or LP)
Youcan reduce the recording speed by half. This makes it
possibleto record, for example, eight-hours instead of
four-hourson an ’E240’ (four-hour) cassette.
aSwitchon the TV set and, if required,select the
programmenumber for the video recorder.
bWiththe video recorder switched on, and before you
startrecording, select the recording speed with the
SP/LP,AV button.On the video recorder display you will
see:’LP’:Long Play = half recording speed (double
recordingtime).
’SP’:StandardPlay = normal recording speed.
DThepicture quality may suffer when you record at
halfspeed (LP).
DWhenyou play back your recording, the machine
willautomatically select the correct speed.
Automatic recording from a satellitereceiver (SAT RECORDING)Youcan only use this function, when you have a satellite
receiverwhich can control other equipment by a
’programming’function.
aUsea scart cable to connect the scart socket
EXT.2AV 2 to the scart socket on the satellite receiver.
bPuta cassette in the machine. Switch off with the
TV/STANDBYmbutton on the remote control.
cHoldthe MONITOR butonon the remote control, until
’SAT.P’appears on the video recorder display.
Thevideo recorder is now ready to record. The
EXT.2AV 2 plug controls the start and the end of the
recording.
DWhenthis function is switched on and the video
recorderis switched off, ’x’ appears on the video
recorderdisplay.
DIfyou want to cancel this function before the
recordinghas started, you must hold the
MONITOR buttonuntil ’SAT.P’ disappears.
DIfyou want to cancel this function while a
programmeis being recorded, press the
TV/STANDBYmbutton on the remote control.
