Setting the on-screen display (OSD)

Youcan switch the on-screen display of the current operating
informationon or off.
aSwitchon the TV set and select the programme number
forthe video recorder.
bPressthe MENU buttonon the remote control. The main
menuwill appear.

’ON’:Shows the OSD for a few seconds only.
’OFF’:Switches off the OSD.

Continuous playback

Youcan automatically play a cassette again and again. When
thevideo recorder reaches the end of the tape or the end of
therecording, it will rewind and startagain.
aPuta cassette in the machine.
bPressthe PLAY Gbutton.
cPressthe MONITOR button on the remote control and the
PLAYGbutton on the video recorder at the same time .
Onthe video recorder display you will see:

dIfyou want to cancel continuous playback, repeat step
c.
DDuringcontinuous playback, no other button will
work.After a power failure, playback will
automaticallystart again.

Automatic switch-off (tuner mode)

Ifyou do not use the video recorder for a few minutes in
certainmodes (e.g.: STOP), it will switch to standby
automatically.You can cancel this function to use the video
recorderas a television receiver (tuner).
aHoldthe STOP hbutton until +appears on the video
recorderdisplay.
bSelectthe programme number you want with the Pror
Pqbuttonor with the number buttons 0-9 .
cSwitchoff the video recorder with the TV/STANDBY m
button,if you no longer want to watch TV.

Poor TV reception - Optimize the modulator

With’Connecting without scart cable’, the modulator
frequency(583Mhz or UHF channel 35)might already be being
usedby another TV station in your reception area.
Inthis case the picture quality on your TV set will be adversely
affectedwhen receiving one or more TV channels.
aEnsurethat no cassette has been loaded. On the video
recorder,hold the SYSTEM button for a few seconds
untile.g.: ’M583’ (583Mhz/channel 35) appearsin the
display.The video recorder transmits a test picture on
thisUHF-channel (or this frequency).
