VCR/TV Button Use to select the signal that your TV receives.

VCR Position Use to watch a tape, to watch a program while recording it, or to watch a TV broadcast using the CH(annel) o/p or Number but- tons to change channels at the VCR. If the VCR light appears on the display panel of the VCR, it is in VCR position.

TV Position Use to watch TV (changing channels at the TV) or to watch one pro- gram while recording another. Details are on page 26. If the VCR light doesn’t appear on the display panel of the VCR, it is in TV position.

REW(ind)/{ Button When tape playback is stopped, press to rewind the tape at high speed. During playback, press to rewind the tape while the picture stays on-screen. Details are on page 39. Or, if you have a Magnavox, Philips, or Philips Magnavox TV, use the REW(ind) button to adjust the controls in the TV menu.

STOP/p Button Press to stop the tape. Press to select an item in the VCR menu. Or, if you have a Magnavox, Philips, or Philips Magnavox TV, press when in TV mode to move down one row or selection in the TV menu.

VCR PLUS+ Button Press to set a timer recording with the VCR Plus+ programming system. Details are on pages 32 - 35.

ALT. CH (Alternate Channel) Button If you have a Magnavox, Philips, or Philips Magnavox TV, press while in TV position to return to the TV channel you were viewing immedi- ately before switching to your current channel. This button does not have an effect on channels changed at the VCR.

CH(annel) o/p Buttons Press to change channels at the VCR or at a Magnavox, Philips, or Philips Magnavox TV.

STATUS/EXIT Button Press to access or remove the on-screen status display. Details are on page 20. Press to exit on-screen menus. Or, if you have a Magnavox, Philips, or Philips Magnavox TV, press the TV button, then press the STATUS/EXIT button, to see a TV status display or to remove the TV menu.

CLEAR Button Press to erase incorrect data when programming VCR functions. Also, press to reset the real-time counter. Details are on page 38.

F.FWD(Fast Forward)/B Button When playback is stopped, press to fast forward the tape at high speed. During playback, press to fast forward the tape while the pic- ture stays on-screen. Details are on page 39. Or, if you have a Magnavox, Philips, or Philips Magnavox TV, use to adjust the controls in the TV menu.
