The telephone company may make changes in its facilities, equipment, operations, or procedures that could affect the operation of the equipment. If this happens, the telephone company will provide advance notice in order for you to make the necessary modifications in order to maintain uninterrupted service. If trouble is experienced with this equipment, please contact customer service as indicated in the warranty section of this manual.
This equipment complies with the limits for a Class B digital device as specified in Part 15 of FCC Rules. These limits provide reasonable protection against radio and TVinterference in a residential area. However, since this equipment can radiate radio frequency energy (whether installed properly or not) it may cause TVor radio interference. To eliminate interference you can try one or more of the following corrective measures:
•Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna
•Increase the distance between the system and the radio or TV
•Use outlets on different electrical circuits for the equipment and the radio or TV
Read the Troubleshooting section of this manual for directions on remedying the problem. Do not open the unit. Any changes made by the user will void the user’s athority to operate the equipment.

Important Notes On Operation
•Do not plug Wireless Jack for Modems into power strips or surge protectors.
•Wireless Jack for Modems Extension does not operate during a power outage.
•Wireless Jack for Modems System can only be used for single phone line.
•Be sure to plug Base unit (two jacks on side) in first before Extension unit (one jack on side).
•If you cannot get a dial tone, unplug both phone jacks and follow the section titled “Trouble Shooting”on page 7.
•It is very important that directions are followed in order. In the event of a problem unplug both units, remove all cords and start again.
Industry Canada Equipment Notice
The Industry Canada label identifies certified equipment. This certification means that the equipment meets certain telecommunications network protective, operational and safety requirements as prescribed in the appropriate Terminal Equipment Technical Documents(s). The Department does not guarantee the equipment will operate to the user’s satisfaction.
Before installing this equipment, users should ensure that it is permissable to be connected to the facilities of the local telecommunications company. The equipment must also be installed using an acceptable method of connection.
The customer should be aware that compliance with the above conditions may not prevent degradation of service in some situations.
Repairs to certified equipment should be coordinated by a representative designated by the supplier. Any repairs or alterations made by the user to this equipment , or equipment malfunctions, may give the telecommunications company cause to request the user to disconnect the equipment.
Users should ensure for their own protection that the electrical ground connections of the power utility, telephone lines and internal metallic water pipe system, if present, are connected together. This precaution may be particularly important in rural areas. The REN of this device is 0.5. See above FCC information for an explanation about the REN. This equipment uses the CA11A standard connecting arrangement.
Caution: Users should not attempt to make such connections themselves, but should contact the appropriate electric inspection authority, or electrician, as appropriate.
