Setting the AM tuning step
TheAM tuning step can be switched between
9kHz, the preset step, and 10 kHz. When
usingthe tuner in North, Central or South
America,reset the tuning step from 9 kHz (531
1,602kHz allowable) to 10 kHz (530 1,640
kHzallowable).
1 PressFUNCTION to select AM.
PressFUNCTION repeatedly until AM appears
inthe display.
2 Presscor dto select the AM tuning
step.
Pressingcor dwill switch the AM tuning
stepbetween 9 kHz and 10 kHz. The selected
AMtuning step will appear in the display.
Switching the warning tone
Ifthe front panel is not detached fromthe
headunit within five seconds of turning off the
ignition,a warning tone will sound. You can
turnoff the warning tone.
1 PressFUNCTION to select WARN.
PressFUNCTION repeatedly until WARN ap-
pearsin the display.
2 Pressaor bto turn WARN on or off.
Pressingaor bwill turn WARN on or off and
thatstatus will be displayed (e.g.,
WARN:ON).
Switching the auxiliary setting
Itis possible to use auxiliar y equipment with
thisunit. Activate the auxiliar y setting when
usingauxiliary equipment connectedto this
unit.
1 PressFUNCTION to select AUX.
PressFUNCTION repeatedly until AUX ap-
pearsin the display.
2 Pressaor bto turn AUX on or off.
Pressingaor bwill turn AUX on or off and
thatstatus will be displayed (e.g.,
AUX:ON).
Switching the dimmer setting
Toprevent the display from being too bright at
night,the display is automatically dimmed
whenthe car s headlights are turned on. You
canswitch dimmer on or off.
1 PressFUNCTION to select DIMMR.
PressFUNCTION repeatedly until DIMMR ap-
pearsin the display.
2 Pressaor bto turn DIMMR onor off.
Pressingaor bwill turn DIMMR on or off
andthat status will be displayed (e.g.,
DIMMR:ON).
Setting the rear output andsubwoofer controller
Thisunits rear output (rear speaker leads out-
put)can be used for full-rangespeaker
(R-SP:FUL) or subwoofer (R-SP :S/W) connec-
tion.If you switch the rear output settingto
theR-SP :S/W, you can connect a rear speaker
leaddirectly to a subwoofer without usingan
auxiliaryamp.
