SURROUND SPEAKERS

For best results the loudspeakers should be positioned at or above ear level. Depending upon your room layout and preferences, the left and right rear speakers should be positioned on the side walls just the rear of the listening position, or on the walls.

SUBWOOFER

Sound spreads in all directions in the very low frequency range. Human hearing cannot easily detect the source of very low frequencies. Be sure to provide a space of at least 8 inches (20cm) between the rear of the subwoofer and the nearest wall.

This is a standard multichannel surround sound speaker setup for optimal 5.1 channel home theater sound.

Assembling the speaker stand bases and securing your front speakers (S-FCR3700 only)

Attach the speaker stand bases to the stems using the screws provided.

Once you have aligned the stem and base, secure with the small screws at the points shown below. Note that the speaker should face in the direction of the base of the isosceles triangle (outlined below).

Secure each of the front speakers using the plastic catch provided.

Screw two picture hooks or similar into the wall behind the speaker. Pass a cord around the hooks and through the plastic catch so that the speaker is stabilized (make sure to test that it supports the weight of the speaker).

After installing, make sure the speaker is securely fixed.

Caution

•The plastic catch is not a mounting fixture, and the speaker should not be hung directly from the wall using this catch. Always use a cord when stabilizing the speaker.

•Pioneer disclaims all responsibility for any losses or damage resulting from improper assembly, installation, insufficient strength of the installation materials, misuse, or natural disasters.

•Do not stand on the speaker stand base of the tall speaker to push or swing the speaker. The speaker may fall and break, or someone may be injured. Pay special attention to children.

NON-SKID PADS

S-FCR3700:

Attach the small non-skid pads to the base of the surround and center speakers. The large non-skid pads are for the front speakers (as shown).

Use the adhesive side of the pads to attach them to the base of each speaker.

If you choose to use speaker stands with the surround speakers, attach the non-skid pads to the stand bases instead of to the underside of the speakers.
