a vertical-format d isplay when you rota te the camera for vert ical-format
shooting. Convenient i ndex views of up to 25 frame s are provided to help
you nd your favorites fast.
The mode dial on the top of th e 350 provides im mediate access to
Program, Aperture pr iority, Shutter- speed priori ty, and Manual expo sure
modes, as well as a ful ly-automatic Au to mode, Flash O Auto m ode, and
6 Scene Selection mod es. The Scene Sel ection modes opt imize AF, drive
mode, shutter speed , aperture, and ot her settings to
ensure beautiful res ults when sho oting portrait s, land-
scapes, sunsets, sports, macro photo s, and night scenes.
In Auto and Scene Selecti on modes, the bu ilt-in ash po ps up automati-
cally whenever it is need ed. Even when you’re shooting o utdoors in day-
light, if the 350 sense s that a subject is b acklit, the ash will po p up to pro-
vide additional il lumination . Flash power is rated GN12 (I SO1 0 0·m), wi th
wide enough coverage to al low use with an 18mm s heye lens.

The option of recording im ages in the 16:9 format en ables you to view
dramatic slideshows on a widescreen HDTV. In addi tion, if you use PhotoT V
HD compatible Sony pe ripheral device s for image playb ack, you can
enjoy an even higher level of b ig-screen di splay qualit y.

The 350 is powered by a high-density NP-FM500H InfoLITHIUM TM battery that
lets you take approximately 730 shots* before recharging is required, and
features a battery level indicator that oers precise1% accuracy. An optional
VG-B30AM vertical grip, capable of holding two NP-FM500H InfoLITHIUM bat-
teries, oers extended power and a full complement of basic camera con-
trols to enhance operating ease during vertical-format shooting.
