Selecting AN Electronic Source

•Your Atrium Powered Speaker can be either the left or right speaker of a stereo pair, depending on convenient placement near a standard household AC power source. Use the “bal- ance” control of your electronics to send the signal alternately to the left and then to the right. If you find stereo imaging is “backwards” after you’ve hooked up the Speaker Wire inputs, simply switch the Left & Right inputs to flip-flop the Left & Right images. Be sure to maintain terminal color consistency (polarity).

•Use speaker wire to attach the Powered Speaker to its Passive partner via Binding Post connections [figures 9 & 10]. Be sure to maintain + to + polarity as you did in hooking up the powered speaker to your receiver.

•Only after you have made your speaker connections, attach the External AC Power Pack to the Powered Speaker [figure 11]. Plug the Power Pack into a standard household AC power source, and then turn on your electronics.

•L’enceinte Atrium active peut être utilisée pour le canal gauche ou droit selon sa distance pratique d’une prise de courant. Utilisez le contrôle de «balance» de votre composant électron- ique pour régler l’équilibre de volume entre les deux canaux.

•Utilisez du fil de h.p. pour raccorder les bornes de l'enceinte active aux bornes de l’enceinte passive [figures 9 et 10]. Ass- urez-vous de maintenir la polarité des fils (+à+ / -à-) comme vous l’avez fait lors du raccordement des fils des bornes

de l’enceinte active aux bornes de votre ampli/récepteur.

•Après (et seulement après) avoir raccordé les enceintes, connectez le bloc d’alimentation CA externe à l’enceinte active [figure 11]. Branchez le bloc dans une prise de courant CA standard puis allumez vos composants électroniques.

If you turn on your system and do not hear any sound, check the settings on your electronics.

•Make sure the “Mute” option is not selected.

•If your receiver has “Multi-Zone” controls, make sure the correct options have been selected.

•If your receiver has an “A” & “B” speaker selector for “Multi-Room” use, make sure the correct option is selected.

•If only one speaker is working, check the balance control setting on your receiver or amplifier.

MONO/STEREO SETTING

Use this switch [figure 11] to select either stereo or mono operation.

•If your speakers are more than eight feet (2.4m) apart, or positioned in separate rooms, choose the “Mono” setting to send the same information to both speakers.

DIAGNOSTIC D'ANOMALIES

RÉGLAGE MONO/STÉRÉO

Utilisez ce commutateur [figure 11] pour déterminer le mode stéréo ou mono.

•Si vos enceintes sont installées à plus de 2,4 m (8 pi) l’une de l’autre, choisissez le mode «Mono» pour envoyer un signal combiné des deux canaux aux deux enceintes.
