TRANSPORTING AND STORAGE

SDo not grasp or hold exposed blade.
SStop unit before leaving work area.
SAllow unit and gearbox to cool before st oring
or transporting it in a vehicle.
SStore unit and fuel in area where fuel vapors
cannotre ach sparks or open flames from wa-
ter heaters, electric motors or switches ,f ur-
naces, etc.

ly cause injury.

dren.

INSTALLINGPRUNER ATTACH-

MENT

CAUTION: Whenremov ing or installing at-
tachments, place the unit on a flat surf ace for
stability.
NOTE: The pruner attachment connects to
theengine end shaft through us e of a coupler
system. For extra reach, the extens ion shaft
(included) can be used.
1. Loosen the couplers on the extension
shaftand on the engine end shaft by turn-
ingt he knobs counterclockwise.

2. Removethe s haft cap from the pruner at-
tachment (if present).
3. Position locking/release button of attach-
ment into guider ecess of coupler on
extension shaft.
4. Pushthe att achment intot he coupler until
the locking/release button snaps into the
primary hole.
