ON/STOPSWITCH

The ON/STOP SWITCH is used to stop the
engine.

THROTTLETRIGGER

TheTHR OTTLE TRIGGER controls engine
speed.

THROTTLELOCKOUT

TheTH ROTTLE LOCKOUT must be pr essed
before you can squeeze the throttle trigger.
This feature prevents you from accidentally
squeezing the trigger.

CHOKE/FASTIDLE LEVER

The choke and fast idle are set by pulling the
CHOKE/FASTIDLE LEVER out to the full ex-
tent for cold starting or after refueling. The
choke provides additional fuel to the engine
during cold starting.

PRIMER BULB

The PRIMER BULB circulates fuel to the
carburetor to provide quicker starting.

CHAIN BRAKE

TheCH AIN BRAKE is a device designed to
stopthe chain if kick back occurs. Thechain
brake activates automatically in the event of
kickback. Thechain brake act ivates manu-
allyif the front hand guard is pus hedforw ard.
Thechain brake is disengaged by pulling the
front hand guard back toward the front han-
dleas f aras pos sible.

CHAIN TENSION

Itis normal for a new chain t o stretch during firs t
30 minutes of operation. You should check
your chain tension frequently. See CHAIN
TENSION under the ASSEMBLYsection.
WARNING: Muffler is very hot dur-
ingand after use. Donot touch the muffler or
allow combustible material such as dry
grass or fuel to do so.
