■Header Split Size. This parameter accounts for packets with split headers
and data. The parameter value specifies the number of bytes at the
beginning of an incoming packet that must be isolated in the first receive
buffer. A value of 0 indicates that the packet header and data are not split.
QLogic recommends a default value of 0.
■Adapter Node Name. This parameter specifies the world wide name (node
name) of the QLA23xx HBA to use for this IP connection. The parameter is
required on systems with more than one QLA23xx HBA. You can use
Fast!UTIL to determine the node names for all QLA22xx/QLA23xx HBAs in
the system (see the Fast!UTIL section that corresponds to your QLA23xx
HBA).
Perform the following steps to modify the QL2x00IP NDIS driver configuration:
1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and click Control Panel.
2. Double-click the Network icon, click the Adapters tab, select the QLogic
QL2X00IP Network Driver, then click Properties.
3. Make configuration parameter modifications as necessary.
4. Click OK. The Network dialog box redisplays.
5. Click Close.
6. Click Yes to restart the computer.

IP Address ConfigurationPerform the following steps to modify the IP address:
1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and click Control Panel.
2. Double-click the Network icon, click the Protocols tab, select the TCP/IP
Protocol, then click Properties.
3. On the IP Address tab , s el e c t t h e Q L A2 3 xx HBA, then modify the IP address
and subnet mask as appropriate. Each IP address must be unique and all
QLA22xx/QLA23xx HBAs on the loop must use the same subnet mask. For
example:
Adapter 1
IP address: 10.0.0.1
Subnet mask:255.255.0.0
Adapter 2
IP address: 10.0.0.2
Subnet mask:255.255.0.0
4. Click OK. The Network dialog box redisplays.
