REPLACING A FUSE

If the CD changer or its components do not operate, you might need to replace the fuse from one or more of the power wires with one of the supplied fuses. Check all fuses.

The fuse for the yellow power wire on the CD changer must be 5.0 amps. On the Audio Adapter, the red power wire’s fuse should be 0.5 amps, while the yel- low continuous power wire’s fuse must be 5 amps.

Warning: Before you begin, disconnect the cable from the vehicle battery’s neg- ative (–) terminal.

1.Unlatch the two latches on the fuse holder, so the holder springs open.

2.If a fuse is blown, replace it. Use only standard 11/4-inch fuses with the proper rating.

Caution: The supplied spare fuses have the proper ratings. Make sure you replace a fuse only with another fuse of the same rating.

3.Reassemble the fuse holder by squeezing it together.

4.Reconnect the cable to the vehicle battery’s negative (–) terminal.
