•You must charge a new battery at least 24 hours before you use it the first time.

•The phone uses one recharge- able nickel-cadmium battery pack. At the end of the battery’s useful life, it must be recycled or disposed of properly. Contact your local, county, or state haz- ardous waste management authorities for information on recycling or disposal programs in your area. Some options that might be available are: munici- pal curbside collection, drop-off boxes at retailers, recycling col- lection centers, and mailback programs.
