Your scanner automatically rounds the entered frequency to the nearest valid frequency. For example, if you enter a frequency of 151.473, your scanner accepts it as 151.475.

Press DELAY if you want the scanner to pause 2 seconds after a transmission ends before it pro- ceeds to the next channel (see “Delay” on Page 33). The scanner also stores this setting in the channel.

4.If you want to program the next channel in sequence, press PROG and repeat Steps 2 and 3.

SEARCHING FOR AND TEMPORARILY STORING ACTIVE FREQUENCIES

If you do not have a reference to frequencies in your area, use a limit, direct, or service search to find a transmission. Also see “Guide to the Action Bands” on Page 58.

Notes: While doing a limit, direct, or service bank search, you can press:

DELAY if you want the scanner to pause 2 seconds after a transmission ends before it proceeds to the next frequency (see “Delay” on Page 33).

DATA if you want the scanner to skip data signals (such as fax or modem signals) and search only for audio (voice) signals (see “Skipping Data Sig- nals” on Page 38).

Limit Search

A limit search lets you search within a specific range of frequencies. -L-appears during a limit search.
