5.Turn off the engine. Then cut the wire at a point where there are at least several inches of wire on each side of the cut. Be sure both wire ends are away from all other metal objects under the dash.
Important Note: If you cut the correct wire, you will be unable to start your vehicle until you com- plete the alarm’s installation.

FINDING YOUR VEHICLE’S PARKING LIGHTS WIRE
To have your parking lights flash dur- ing an alert or when you use the car finder, you must connect your alarm system to your vehicle’s parking lights. Follow these steps to find the correct wire.
1.Locate the wire harness going from the back of your vehicle’s light control. If the control is on your vehicle’s steering column, the harness probably joins sev- eral other wiring harnesses.
