1.DVD Ñ The DVD mode is selected.

2.Disc icon Ñ A disc is loaded. Flashes when no disc is loaded.

3.Number display Ñ The current time, counter, remaining time on a video tape, time expired on a disc, or the current DVD/VCR status (PLAY, REC, etc.).

4.Repeat icon Ñ The repeat mode is selected.

5.Timer icon Ñ A timer recording is programmed or in progress.

6.Tape icon Ñ A tape is loaded. If flashing, you need to insert a tape.

7.VCR Ñ The VCR mode is selected.

8.REC Ñ A recording is in progress.

9.PM Ñ Time is PM (AM is not displayed).

10.TV Ñ The TV mode is selected.

Display Messages

The following are some messages you might see in the DVD/VCR display.

CUE Ñ Tape is searching forward during playback.

Disc (with Disc icon flashing) Ñ No disc is loaded.

EJEC Ñ Tape is ejecting.

FF Ñ Tape is fast forwarding.

L1, L2 Ñ The front or back video input channel is selected.

Open Ñ Disc tray is opening.

PLAY Ñ Playing a VCR tape.

Read Ñ Loading a disc.

REC Ñ Tape is recording.

REC-P Ñ Recording is paused.

REV Ñ Tape is searching backward during playback.

REW Ñ Tape is rewinding.

SAFE Ñ Child lock is active.

SCH Ñ Tape is peforming a visual search. SP, SLP Ñ Tape recording speed.

STiLL Ñ Tape is paused.

STOP Ñ Tape is stopped.
