Programming With Code Search

If your TV, VCR, or Cable Box does not respond after you have tried all the codes for your brand, or if your brand is not listed, try searching for your code by following the steps below.

Menu Functions

The Menu is used to make changes such as setting color, channels, timers, etc.

1.Turn on the device you wish to program.

2.Press and hold CODE SEARCH until the INDICATOR LIGHT lights, then release CODE

SEARCH.

3.Press and release the device button for the device you are programming (TV, VCR or

CABLE). The INDICATOR LIGHT will blink once then remain lit.

Note: For AUX, press SAT•AUXthen the device button you are assigning to AUX.

Entering the Menu Mode:

1. Push the DEVICE button on the remote.

2. Push the MENU button.

This puts the remote in Menu Mode. The Menu should now be visible on the television. The INDICATOR LIGHT

will blink continuously to indicate the

(BLINK)

 

 

 

 

 

 

remote is now in Menu Mode.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

While in MENU these buttons will function as follows:

Important: You may have to press

ON•OFF up to 200 times.

Retrieving Codes

If you need to find the three-digit code for your TV, VCR or Cable Box after your device is set-up using Code Search, use this procedure.

CH+/- keys will operate as CURSOR UP/DOWN.

For RCA, GE an ProScan, pushing the MENU button will select the highlighted item. The numeric buttons may also be used to select the MENU choice.

Note: Not all functions in competitive models and brands of televisions may be fully supported.

Exiting the Menu Mode:

1.

Press and hold CODE SEARCH

 

until the INDICATOR LIGHT

 

lights, then release CODE

 

SEARCH.

2.

Press and release the device

 

button for the device’s code

LIGHT will blink once then

 

remain lit.

Press and release CODE

Starting with 0 on the keypad,

 

press the number buttons in

CODE INDICATOR

SEARCH LIGHT

(BLINK)

CODE (BLINK) SEARCH

To exit the Menu Mode and clear the screen push the DEVICE button on the remote. The INDICATOR LIGHT should go out indicating the remote is now out of Menu Mode and will revert to it’s normal mode of operation.

Note: The remote will automatically exit the Menu Mode after 10 seconds of inactivity with no buttons being pushed.

Special notes:

1.Because of the wide variety of menu formats, some experimenting may be required.

2.SONY:Pressing the ENTER button while

 

order (0-9) until the

 

INDICATOR LIGHT blinks.

The number which causes the

 

INDICATOR LIGHT to blink is

 

the first digit of your code.

Repeat step 4 until you have

 

retrieved all three numbers in
