TRACKING
Remote Sensor
CHANNEL or TRACKING Up or Down
Selects next higher or lower channel in the VCR’s channel memory.
Adjusts tracking during playback.
PLAY•PAUSE
Plays a tape.
Pauses the tape for
Pauses the tape during recording to prevent recording unwanted material.
POWER
Turns the VCR on or off.
RECORD
Starts the VCR recording.
Used for express recording.
Remote Sensor
Receives signals from the remote control. Aim the remote at this sensor with no objects between them.
Selects VHS or
Lights during
SHUTTLE DIAL
Places the VCR in Shuttle mode and starts a forward or reverse search when you turn the dial while in Play or Still mode.
STOP•EJECT
Stops the normal functions such as record, playback, rewind, fast forward, or pause.
Ejects a tape when the VCR is stopped.
TV•VCR (Applies only to basic hookup)
Switches the picture signal so that it either comes from the VCR or the TV channel. See Use the TV•VCR Button in the “Startup” section.
VIDEO and AUDIO (R and L) IN Jacks
Receives signals from another component, such as a VCR or camcorder, when it is connected to these jacks.
Display L2 in the VCR display panel using INPUT on the remote to select these jacks.
