TURNING BANKS ON AND OFF

and SearchBanks"yourscannersplitsthe400channels intotenbanksoffortychannelseachThe.smallbarsunder the numbersat the top of the displayare the bankin- dicatorsYou.canturneachbankonandoff,sothatallthe channelsin a bankare eitherscannedor lockedout. In scanmode,pressthenumberkeyforthebankyouwantto turnon or off.lf thebankindicatoris on,youhaveturned onthebankandthescannerscansallthechannelswithin thatbankthatyou havenotlockedout.lf the indicatoris off,the scannerdoesnotscananyof thechannelswithin that bank.Youcan stillmanuallyselectanychannelin a bank,evenifyouhaveturnedoffthebank.Youcannotturn
offall -
banks onemustbeturnedon.
USING THE PRIORITY FEATURE
Youcanscanthroughallyourprogrammedchannels,and stillnotmissan importantor interestingcallon a specific channelSimply.programyour desiredchannelas the prioritychannel,andturnon thepriorityfeatureby press-
ing [PRl]duringscanningThe.scannernow checksthe prioritychanneleverytwo seconds,andstayson thechan-
nelifthereisactivity.
To programa prioritychannel,simplypress[pROGRAM],
andthedesiredchannelnumberThen,.press ,,p" [pRl]. ap-
pearsin the displaywheneverthe scanneris set to the prioritychannelYou.canonlyprogramonechannelasthe prioritychannel.lf you programa new channelas the prioritychannel,the previouschannelyou chose is
automaticallycleared.
Note:Channel1 isautomaticallydesignatedasthepriority channelthefirsttimeyouturnonyourscanner.
