•De ontluchtingsopeningen moeten worden vrijgehouden.

•Volg alle voorzorgsmaatregelen bij toediening van extra zuurstof.

•De stroom van extra zuurstof moet altijd worden uitgeschakeld als de flow-generator niet werkt, zodat er geen brandgevaar ontstaat doordat ongebruikte zuurstof zich ophoopt binnen de behuizing van de flow- generator.

•Als er een constante hoeveelheid extra zuurstof wordt toegediend, zal de concentratie van de ingeademde zuurstof variëren, afhankelijk van de drukinstellingen, het ademhalingspatroon van de patiënt, het soort masker, het toedieningspunt en de mate van lekkage.

•Uw arts kan aan de hand van de technische specificaties van het masker en de flow-generator nagaan of deze compatibel zijn. Gebruik van het masker buiten de specificaties of samen met incompatibele apparatuur kan ertoe leiden dat het masker niet goed afsluit of niet comfortabel zit, dat de optimale therapie niet wordt verkregen en dat lekkage, of variaties in de lekkage, de werking van de flow-generator aantast.

•Stop met het gebruik van de Mirage Liberty als u ook maar ENIGSZINS negatief reageert op het maskersysteem en raadpleeg uw arts of slaaptherapeut.

•Stop met het gebruik van de Mirage Liberty als uw neus geïrriteerd raakt en raadpleeg uw arts of slaapspecialist.

•Raadpleeg de handleidng van uw flow-generator voor meer informatie over de instellingen en de werking.

Het gebruik van het masker

Kies ‘Mir Full’ of ‘Full Face’ als maskeroptie bij gebruik van de Mirage Liberty met ResMed flow-generators welke beschikken over een keuze-instelling voor maskers.

Het masker opzetten

De tekeningen in deel A op het illustratieblad geven aan hoe de onderdelen van het masker in elkaar passen.

De tekeningen in deel B tonen de geadviseerde volgorde voor het verkrijgen van de beste pasvorm en het meeste comfort bij het gebruik van uw masker. Volg deze instructies zorgvuldig op.

1Was uw gezicht grondig voordat u het masker opzet. Het verdient aanbeveling om geen vochtinbrengende crème aan te brengen op plaatsen waar het masker in contact komt met uw gezicht, aangezien dit de afdichting van het masker kan aantasten.
