This function allows you to select the le naming format.
[Reset] :
After using the reset function,
the next le name is started at
0001 even after you’ve formatted,
deleted all, or inserted a new
memory card.
[Series]*
: New les are named using
numbers that follow the previous sequence, even if
you’ve installed a new memory card, formatted the
memory, or deleted all pictures.
- The rst stored folder name is 100PHOTO, and the rst le
name is SAM_0001.
- File names are assigned sequentially from SAM_0001
SAM_0002to SAM_9999.
- The folder number is assigned sequentially from 100 to 999 as
follows: 100PHOTO 101PHOTO ~ 999PHOTO.
- The maximumnumber of les in a folder is 9999.
- The les used with the memory card conform to the DCF (Design
rule for Camera File systems) format. If you change the image
le name, the image may not play back.

Setting up the Date / Time / Date type
You can change the date and time that the camera displays on
captured images and set up the date type. Setting [Time Zone]
enables you to display the local date and time on the LCD screen
when travelling overseas.
