Checking that YourOven is Operating Correctly
The following simple procedure enables you to check that your oven is
working correctly at all times. If you are in doubt, refer to the section
entitled “What to Do if You are in Doubt or Have a Problem”o n the
next page.
The oven must be plugged into an appropriate wall socket. The
turntable must be in position in the oven. If a power level other
than the maximum (100% - 900 W) is used, the water takes
longer to boil.
Open the oven door by pullingthe handle on the right side of the door.
Place a glass of water on the turntable. Close the door.
What to Do if Youare in Doubt or Have a Problem
Becoming familiar with a new appliancealways takes a little time. If
you have any of the problems listed below, try the solutions given. They
may save you the time and inconvenience of an unnecessary service
call.
This is normal.
Condensation inside the oven
Airflow aro und the door and outer casing
Light reflection around the door and outer casing
Steamescaping from around the door or vents
The food is not cooked at all
Haveyou set the timer correctly and pressed the Start ( 1min+) button?
Isthe door closed?
Haveyou over loaded the electric circuit and caused a fuse to blow or a
breaker to be triggered.
The food is eitherovercooked or undercooked
Wasthe appropriate cooking length set for the type of food?
Wasan appropriate power level chosen?
Sparking and cracking occur inside the oven (arcing)
Haveyou used a dish with meta lt rimmings?
Haveyou left a fork or ot her metal utensil inside the oven?
Isaluminium foil too close to the inside walls?
The oven causes interference with radios or televisions
Slightinterfere ncema y beo bserved on televisions or radios when the
oven is operating. This is normal.
* Solution:Install the oven away from televisions, radios and aerials.
Ifinterferen ceis detected by the oven’s microprocessor, the display may
be reset.
* Solution:Disconnect the power plug and reconne ct it. Reset the time.
“E3” message indicates
Preventinterior of cookin g compartment from fire accident and
overheating. When interior of cooking compartment has become
overheated,cool it down enough, and make use of it under initialization
mode by pushing “ ” key.
If the above guidelines do not enable you to solve the problem, take a
note of:
Themodel and serial numbers, normally printed on the rear
of the oven
Yourwarranty details
Aclear description of the proble m
Then contact your local dealer or SAMSUNG aftersales service.
1. Pressthe Start ( 1min+)button and set the time to 4 or
5 minutes, by pressing the ( 1min+) button the
approprinte number of times.
Result: The oven heats the water for 4 or 5 minutes.
The water should then be boiling.
