LCD (Liquid Crystal Display)

Uno schermo comunemente utilizzato nell'elettronica di consumo. Per riprodurre i colori, tale schermo ha bisogno di una retroilluminazione separata, come CCFL o LED.

Macro

Questa funzione permette di scattare foto in primo piano di oggetti molto piccoli. Quando utilizzate la funzione macro, la fotocamera mantiene una messa a fuoco precisa su oggetti piccoli in un rapporto prossimo alle dimensioni naturali (1:1).

Misurazione

La misurazione si riferisce al modo in cui la fotocamera misura la quantità di luce per impostare l'esposizione.

MJPEG (Motion JPEG)

Un formato video compresso come un'immagine JPEG.

Disurbo

I pixel interpretati male in un'immagine digitale che potrebbero apparire come mal collocati o pixel confusi e brillanti. Di solito c'è disturbo quando le foto vengono scattate con una sensibilità elevata o quando la sensibilità viene impostata in automatico in un luogo buio.

Zoom ottico

Èuno zoom generale che ingrandisce le immagini tramite un obiettivo senza deteriorarne la qualità.

Qualità

L'espressione del tasso di compressione utilizzato in un'immagine digitale. Le immagini con miglior qualità hanno una compressione minore, che di solito comporta un file più grande.

Risoluzione

Il numero di pixel in un'immagine digitale. Le immagini con risoluzione elevata contengono più pixel e normalmente mostrano più dettagli rispetto alle immagini con risoluzione minore.

Velocità otturatore

La velocità otturatore corrisponde alla quantità di tempo necessaria per aprire e chiudere l'otturatore. È un importante fattore per la luminosità di una foto in quanto controlla la quantità di luce che passa attraverso il diaframma prima di raggiungere il sensore immagini. Una velocità otturatore elevata richiede meno tempo per lasciar entrare la luce e la foto diventa più scura e blocca più facilmente i soggetti in movimento.

Vignettatura

Una riduzione della luminosità o saturazione alla periferia (bordi esterni) di un'immagine rispetto al centro. La vignettatura può spostare l'interesse sui soggetti posizionati al centro di un'immagine.

Bilanciamento de bianco (bilanciamento colore)

Una regolazione della intensità dei colori (in particolare i colori primari: rosso verde e blu) in un'immagine. Il bilanciamento del bianco, o bilanciamento colore, si regola per rendere adeguatamente i colori sull'immagine.
