Playing back a VBR (Variable Bit Rate) file. A VBR file varies the amount of output data in each time segment based on the complexity of the input the data in that segment. When the VBR encoded files are played back, the LCD will appear as shown.

–The VBR icon will be displayed instead of the Bit rate icon.

–Playing time will be displayed but the total running time will not appear. For about 2 seconds of the start and end frames of the PMP file, no camera button except the POWER button can be operated.

When an MP3 file doesn’t play back correctly, download a free MP3 conversion program and convert it before using the MP3 file on the camera.

Depending on the file type, the movie may be paused during playing back in the PMP mode. The movie restarts automatically and it is not a camera malfunction.
