Changing the camera’s focus

Learn how to adjust the camera’s focus to suit the subject and the shooting conditions.

Using macro

Use macro to capture close-up photos of subjects, such as flowers or insects.

Try to hold the camera firmly to prevent blurry photos.

Turn off the flash if the distance to the subject is less than 16 in (40 cm).

Auto Focus (Normal): Focus on a subject farther than

32 in (80 cm) from the camera. Farther than 59 in. (150 cm) when using the zoom.

Macro: Manually focus on a subject that is 2-32 in (5-80 cm) from the camera (39-59 in [100-150 cm] when you use the zoom).
