Changing the camera’s focus
Learn how to adjust the camera’s focus to suit the subject and the shooting conditions.

In a Shooting mode, touch Focus.

Touch Macro to select it.

Auto Focus (Normal)

Icon Description
Auto Focus (Normal): Focus on a subject farther than
32 in (80 cm) from the camera. Farther than 59 in. (150 cm)
when using the zoom.
Macro: Manually focus on a subject that is 2-32 in
(5-80 cm) from the camera (39-59 in [100-150 cm]
when you use the zoom).

Using macro

Use macro to capture close-up photos of subjects, such as
flowers or insects.

Try to hold the camera firmly to prevent blurry photos.
•
Turn off the flash if the distance to the subject is less than 16 in
(40 cm).
