sRGB anvendes hovedsageligt til enheder såsom en pc.

AdobeRGB dækker et bredere område end sRGB og anvendes til erhvervsmæssige formål såsom industritryk. Et billede, som oprettes i AdobeRGB, kan virke lysere end et billede, som er oprettet i sRGB, når det udlæses fra en sRGB-kompatibel enhed.
