Aukkoarvo

1Tuettujen aukkoarvojen alue. Esimerkiksi 1:3.5-6.3 tarkoittaa, että enimmäisaukkoalue on välillä 3,5–6,3.

Polttoväli

Objektiivin keskikohdan ja tarkennustason etäisyys (millimetreinä).

2Tämä luku ilmaistaan alueena: objektiivin pienimmästä mahdollisesta polttovälistä suurimpaan.

Pitkät polttovälit tekevät kuvakulmista kapeita, ja kohdetta suurennetaan. Lyhyet polttovälit tekevät kuvakulmista laajoja.

3ED tarkoittaa erittäin alhaista hajontaa. Lasi, jonka hajonta on erittäin alhaista, minimoi väripoikkeaman (vääristymä, joka tapahtuu. kun linssi ei pysty kohdistamaan kaikkia värejä samaan polttopisteeseen).
