Brændvidde

Afstanden fra midten af objektivet til dets fokuspunkt (i millimeter). Denne figur er udtrykt i et område: Minimum fokuslængde til

En større fokuslængde resulterer i en mere snæver synsvinkel og motivet bliver forstørret. En mindre fokuslængde resulterer i bredere synsvinkler.

ED

ED står for ekstra lav dispersion. Ekstra lav dispersionsglas er

3effektivt til at minimere kromatisk afvigelse (en forvrængning, der forekommer, når det mislykkes for objektivet at fokusere alle farver til det samme farvejusteringspunkt).
