Måletilstanden kan bruges, så kameraet kan måle mængden af lys.

Kameraet måler lysmængden i en scene, og i mange af dets tilstande, og bruger målingen til at justere forskellige indstillinger. Hvis et motiv f.eks. ser mørkere ud, end i virkeligheden, tager kameraet et overeksponeret billede af det. Punkt

Tilstanden Punkt beregner lysmængden i midten. Når du tager et billede under forhold, hvor der er stærk modlys bag motivet, justerer kameraet eksponeringen, så der bliver taget et korrekt billede af motivet. Når

du f.eks. vælger tilstanden Multi under forhold med stærk modlys, beregner kameraet, at den overordnede lysmængde er rigelig, hvilket resulterer i et mørkere billede. Tilstanden Punkt kan forhindre denne situation, da den beregner lysmængden i et tildelt område.

Motivet er i lys farve, mens baggrunden er mørk. Tilstanden Punkt anbefales til en situation som denne, hvor der er en stor forskel mellem motiv og baggrund.

Link AE til AF punkt

Når denne funktion er slået til, indstiller kameraet automatisk en valgfri eksponering ved at beregne fokusområdets lysstyrke. Denne funktion er kun tilgængelig, når du vælger enten Punkt-måling eller Multi-måling og Valg af.
