1Ett antal bländarvärden som stöds. F 1:4–5.6 betyder till exempel maximala området för bländaren från 4 till 5.6.

Brännvidd

Avståndet från mitten av objektivet till dess fokuspunkt (i millimeter).

2Siffran uttrycks i ett avstånd: minimum brännvidd till maximum brännvidd för objektivet.

Längre brännvidder ger smalare synvinkel och motivet förstoras. Kortare brännvidder ger bredare synvinkel.

ED

3ED står för Extra-low Dispersion. Glas med extra låg spridning minskar effektivt kromatisk aberration (en distortion som inträffar när ett objektiv inte fokuserar alla färger i samma konvergenspunkt).

OIS (sid 74)

4Optisk bildstabilisering (Optical Image Stabilization) Objektiv med den funktionen kan upptäcka kameraskakning och effektivt ta bort rörelsen inuti kameran.
