Skärpedjup

Porträtt eller stillbilder som de flesta uppskattar är de där bakgrunden ligger utanför fokus så att motivet är tydligt. Beroende på de fokuserade områdena, kan ett foto göras suddigt eller skarpt. Det här kallas‘litet DOF’ eller ‘stort DOF’.

Skärpedjupet är området kring motivet med skärpa. Ett litet skärpedjup (DOF) betyder att området med skärpa är smalt och ett stort skärpedjup

(DOF) betyder att området med skärpa är brett.

Man kan ta ett foto med litet skärpedjup DOF, som betonar motivet och gör resten oskarpt, genom att använda ett teleobjektiv eller välja ett lågt bländarvärde. Omvänt kan man ta ett foto med stort skärpedjup (DOF) som visar alla delar i fotot skarpt fokuserat, med ett vidvinkelobjektiv eller genom att välja ett högre bländarvärde.

Vad kontrollerar effekter utanför fokus?

DOF beror på bländarvärde

Ju större bländaren är (alltså ju lägre bländarvärde), desto lägre blir skärpedjupet (DOF). Under förhållanden där andra värden indikerar att slutarhastighet och ISO-känslighet är lika, ger ett lågt bländarvärde ett foto med litet skärpedjup (DOF).
