ISO-følsomhet

Eksponeringen av et bilde fastslås av kameraets følsomhet. Denne følsomheten er basert på internasjonale filmstandarder, kjent som ISO-standarder. På digitale kameraer brukes denne følsomhetsrangeringen for å representere følsomheten til den digitale mekanismen som tar bildet.

ISO-følsomheten dobles når tallet dobles. For eksempel kan en innstilling på ISO 200 ta bilder med dobbelt hastighet som ISO 100. Imidlertid kan høyere ISO-innstillinger føre til "støy" - små flekker, punkter og andre fenomener i et bilde som gir bildet et støyet eller skittent utseende.

Som en generell regel er det best å bruke en lav ISO-innstilling for å forhindre støy i bildene, med mindre du fotograferer i mørke miljøer eller på kveldstid.

Endringer i kvaliteten og lysstyrken i henhold til ISO-følsomhet

Ettersom en lav ISO-følsomhet betyr at kameraet vil være mindre følsomt for lys, trenger du mer lys for å få en optimal eksponering. Når du bruker lav ISO-følsomhet, må du åpne blenderen mer eller redusere lukkerhastigheten for å slippe mer lys inn i kameraet. For eksempel på en solfylt dag når det er rikelig med lys, krever ikke lav ISO-følsomhet en langsom lukkerhastighet. Imidlertid vil langsom ISO-følsomhet føre til et uklart bilde hvis du tar bilde på et mørkt sted eller på kveldstid. Derfor anbefales det en moderat økning av ISO-følsomheten.
