Rekesznyílás

A rekesznyílás a megvilágítást befolyásoló három tényező egyike. A rekesznyílás méretét vékony fémlemezek, úgynevezett lamellák szabályozzák, amelyek kinyílva, illetve becsukódva engednek be több vagy kevesebb fényt a fényképezőgépbe. A rekesznyílás mérete a fény mennyiséggel van összefüggésben: a nagyobb rekesznyílás több fényt tesz lehetővé, míg a kisebb rekesznyílás kevesebbet.

A rekesznyílás méretét az úgynevezett rekeszszámmal (újabb nevén az érték előtt álló F betű miatt "F-szám") jelölik. A rekeszszám nem más, mint a gyújtótávolság osztva az objektív átmérőjével. Ha például egy objektív gyújtótávolsága 50 mm, a rekeszszám pedig F2, akkor a rekesznyílás átmérője 25 mm (50 mm/25 mm = F2). Minél kisebb a rekeszszám, annál nagyobb a rekesznyílás.

A rekesz nyílásának méretét a fényérték írja le (EV). A fényérték növelése (+1 EV) a fény mennyiségének megduplázását jelenti. A fényérték csökkentése (-1 EV) a fény mennyiségének megfelezését jelenti. A fény mennyiségének finombeállítására a megvilágítás-helyesbítés funkció is használható, az expozíció értékének 1/2, 1/3 EV stb. értékkel elosztásával.
