5.By default, WPA2 PSK security is selected. To enable it, tap the Password field, enter a password and tap Save. To create an unsecured hotspot (not recommended as anyone can access your device), tap the Security field, select Open and tap Save.

Important! The more complex the password, the harder it will be for intruders to break your security. It is recommended that you not use names, birthdays, or other personal information.

6.Tap Save.

7.Press for the following options:

Timeout settings: allows you to set the time your device will remain available as a portable Wi-Fi hotspot if there is no connection (Never timeout, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes or 60 minutes).

Connecting to Portable Wi-Fi hotspot from other devices

1.Activate Wi-Fi on the device to be connected to your phone.

2.Find the network SSID in the Wi-Fi network list and connect to it (the default is “AndroidAP”).

The connected device can now use internet through your Portable Wi-Fi hotspot.

Note: Activating Wi-Fi and connecting to your phone will be different depending on the type of the other device.

Note: Using your 4G service and Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot drains your phone’s battery at a much faster rate than when using any other feature combination. It is recommended that the phone be connected to the wall charger while using it as a hotspot.
