HDCP (High-band width Digital Content Protection - Protecção de conteúdos digitais com elevada largura de banda) é um sistema que impede que o conteúdo de um BD/DVD emitido por HDMI seja copiado. Assegura uma ligação digital segura entre uma fonte de vídeo (PC, DVD, etc.) e um dispositivo de visualização (televisor, projector. etc.). Os conteúdos são codiﬁcados no dispositivo fonte para impedir que sejam efectuadas cópias não autorizadas.
