<Generic Tag> lar administratoren gi verten eller portalen generisk kodeinformasjon.

<Connection Management>-fanen

Kategorien <Connection Management> gjør det mulig med aktivering eller deaktivering av tilkoblingsbehandling og å angi IP- adressen for tilkoblingsbehandler.

I en styrt tilkobling kommuniserer en ekstern <Connection Managerment>-server med enheten og kan konfigurere den eksternt. I tillegg kan tilkoblingsbehandleren finne en passende maskin som enheten kan kobles til, og opprette tilkoblingen. <Connection management> kan i stor grad forenkle administreringsjobben for et stort og komplekst system.

Connection Management-parameterne kan også konfigureres ved hjelp av websideadministrasjonsgrensesnittet.

Hvis alternativet <Enable Connection Management> er aktivert, kan enheten konfigureres og kontrolleres av en ekstern tilkoblingsbehandler.

•<Identify Connection Manager By>

Velgeren <Identify Connection Manager By> lar administratoren velge hvorvidt tilkoblingsbehandleren identifiseres av <IP address> eller av det fullstendige domenenavnet (FQDN). Hvis tilkoblingsbehandling er deaktivert, er ikke dette feltet nødvendig og kan ikke redigeres.

Tabell 2-1 viser konfigurasjonsparameterne som er tilgjengelige når hver av metodene er valgt. Dersom en ugyldig IP- adresse eller DNS-navn skrives inn, vil administratoren bli bedt om å rette dette på sin skjermmeny.
