A Dolby Digital hangzást csak olyan hangosító berendezéssel élvezheti, amelyik optikai kábellel csatlakozik. A PCM hangzás csak a fő hangszóróból hallható. Ha a hangkibocsátás egyszerre történik a fő hangszóróból és a hangosító berendezésből, visszhangosság is előfordulhat a fő hangszóró és a hangosító berendezés eltérő dekódolási gyorsasága miatt. Ilyenkor célszerű a belső némítás funkció használata.

•"A „Hangjellemzők" olyankor aktív, amikor a „Audio formátum" funkció „PCM” módba van kapcsolva.

Ez a kiegészítő hangfunkció a gyengén látóknak nyújt segítséget egy további hangsáv biztosításával. E funkció lényege, hogy a műsorszórótól érkező fő hang mellett a Hangjellemzők hangsávja is hallhtó. A felhasználó be vagy ki kapcsolhatja a Hangjellemzők funkciót, és beállíthatja a hangerőt.
