Energitræet er helt udfyldt, når den sparede energimængde er akkumuleret til lige så meget som den mængde CO2, et træ absorberer hvert år. Dette angiver, at din strømbesparelse er lige som effektiv som at plante et træ. På denne måde kan du let forstå akkumuleringen af energibesparelsen over tid samt dens påvirkning ved at følge, at træet vokser.

Forløbet af træet, der vokser, er repræsenteret som 10 forskellige billeder (faser). Når et træ er fuldt udvokset, gendannes den allerførste fase, og antallet af træer vokser løbende. Antallet af energitræer afrundes med en decimal.
