Vorsichtsmaßnahmen vor der Verwendung

Länderauswahl

Länderauswahl:

Da der Computer in unterschiedlichen Ländern verwendet werden kann, sollten Sie zur Vermeidung von Verbindungsproblemen das Land auswählen, in dem Sie eine Verbindung herstellen möchten.

Gehen Sie zum Ändern der Länderauswahl folgendermaßen vor:

1.Wählen Sie die Befehlsfolge Start > Systemsteuerung > Netzwerk-und Internetverbindungen aus.

2. Klicken Sie auf das Symbol

für Telefon- und Modemoptionen.

3.Markieren Sie im Feld Standorte: die Verbindung, die Sie bearbeiten möchten.

4.Wählen Sie auf der Registerkarte Wählregeln die Option Bearbeiten aus.

5.Wählen Sie auf der Registerkarte Allgemein das Land/die Region aus, von dem/ der Sie anrufen.

6.Klicken Sie auf OK, um das Dialogfeld für die Standortbearbeitung zu schließen.

7.Klicken Sie auf OK, um das Dialogfeld mit den Telefon- und Modemoptionen zu schließen.

Digitale Telefonleitungen:

Bei Anschluss des Modems an eine digitale Telefonleitung (z. B. an das vierpolige System eines Unternehmens) kann das Modem beschädigt werden.

DOS-Unterstützung

•Windows XP: Unterstützt nicht den reinen DOS-Modus. Zudem unterstützt das Modem nicht das DOS-Fenster von Windows. Sie können daher keine Kommunikationsanwendung verwenden, die unter DOS ausgeführt wird.

Verwenden des Modems an einer Nebenstellenanlage

Verwenden eines Windows-Kommunikationsprogramms:

1.Wählen Sie die Befehlsfolge Start > Systemsteuerung > Netzwerk-und Internetverbindungen aus.

2. Klicken Sie auf das Symbol

für Telefon- und Modemoptionen.

3.Doppelklicken Sie auf der Registerkarte Modems auf die Schaltfläche Eigenschaften.

4.Deaktivieren Sie auf der Registerkarte Modems das Kontrollkästchen Vor dem Wählen auf Freizeichen warten.

5.Klicken Sie auf OK, um das Dialogfeld zu schließen.
