Using Your Phone’s Battery and Charger

Battery Capacity

Your Sprint PCS Vision Phone is equipped with a Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) battery. It allows you to recharge your battery before it is fully drained. It provides up to 3 hours of continuous digital talk time (up to 1.7 hours in analog) or up to 2.5 days of continuous digital standby time (up to 18 hours in analog) with Sprint PCS Ready Link enabled, or up to 9 days continuous digital standby time with Sprint PCS Ready Link disabled.

The optional extended battery provides up to 5.2 hours of continuous digital talk time (up to 2.7 hours in analog) or up to 4 days of continuous digital standby time (up to 26 hours in analog) with Sprint PCS Ready Link enabled, or up to 14 days continuous digital standby time with Sprint PCS Ready Link disabled.

When the battery reaches 5% of its capacity, the battery icon blinks. When there are approximately two minutes of talk time left, the phone sounds an audible alert and then powers down.

Note: Extended backlight settings in excess of the default setting (8 sec), searching for service, vibrate mode, and browser use affect the battery’s talk and standby times.

Tip: Be sure to watch your phone’s battery level indicator and charge the battery before it runs out of power.
